Palin SUV Sold for $10,300

A 1999 Ford Expedition that got sold for $10,300 was once owned by then Mayor of Wasilla, Sarah Palin. There have been accusations against the current Mayor for raking in the cash in the name of the former lady Mayor. Wasilla lies in the north of Anchorage. The SUV had covered about 74,188 miles.

A lady fan of Sarah Palin bought the car at a rate that was $8000 more than its original price tag. As for the current Mayor’s alibi, it was to stock up the city’s vehicle replacement financial resources. The Deputy Mayor on the other hand had other plans which didn’t go through. She is furious and has pointed an accusing finger at the Mayor.

Meanwhile, the current Mayor sees the astronomical price as justified since it makes for some profitable business. The auctioning of the SUV occurred on eBay. Although it wasn’t expected to sell for a lot, soon many fans appeared who were willing to shell out a load of cash in return for the privilege of owning Sarah Palin’s means of transportation.

The Deputy Mayor meanwhile has pointed out the absurdity of such sales. She says that if a couple of chairs were found in which Sarah Palin once sat, will they then be sold at double or triple their original price? Such questions are valid and reasonable.
