The 2014 Mazda 3 was given the Car of the Year award by AutoGuide.com. It came out on top among five cars which included the Cadillac CTS and the Mercedes-Benz CLA.

Among the five finalists that were named cars of the year, it was the 2014 Mazda 3 that bagged the prize. Another car in the series was the 2014 Mazda 6. But the winner was the one and only Mazda 3 which had SKYACTIV Technology not to mention a design that is almost divine in its contours and flow.

Some other systems that this car of cars features include i-Activsense and Mazda Connect. The former is a method of accident prevention through preemption. And the latter is a maneuverability device that has a display module too. With this car, Mazda has really struck a pose that is elegantly stylish. And it happens to be the consumer’s choice for the upcoming year of 2014.

"We truly put our best foot forward with the all-new 2014 Mazda3, not only to be competitive within its class but to be the vehicle that consumers have asked for," said Jim O'Sullivan, president and CEO, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO).

Safe, secure and high tech car that it is, the Mazda 3 gives good value in return for the cash shelled out for its purchase by eager customers. It is indeed the best of the best. A fun-filled driving experience, this car is the coolest investment anyone can make for transportation’s sake.

Prices range from between $16,945 and $18,945 for the two body styles that it comes in. And the engine and horsepower make it a speed demon alright. The 2014 Mazda 3 thus truly lives up to its reputation as its ad so vividly portrays in the form of the slogan “Vroom Vroom”.

"Combining attractive styling inside and out, with impressive features in versatile packaging, the 2014 Mazda3 is also efficient and fun to drive," said Colum Wood, editorial director, AutoGuide.com.  "It's not that the Mazda3 is a great compact car; it's simply a great car, period."
