Motorola Moto G smartphone shipments delayed thanks to Texas Ice Storm
There are a few things you expect when you live in Texas. We expect weather that changes by the hour and insanely high temperatures in the summer. One thing we don't expect in the winter is ice and snow. It rarely gets cold enough for winter weather to happen in most parts of Texas. That was not the case last week when a big ice storm rolled in and coated the DFW metroplex with inches of ice and snow.
reports that Motorola told one customer that inquired about his Moto G smartphone that winter storm Dion had put a crimp in operations at the Fort Worth, Texas fulfillment center. The message told the customer that the ordered Moto G device didn’t ship when it was originally estimated.
The message goes on to say that the Moto G will be shipped by December 14 with an upgrade to overnight delivery. The bad weather in that part of Texas is over so there should be no more delays.
