Microsoft today launches a separate Xbox Music app along with Xbox Video app for its Windows Phone 8 users.

Ahead of the launch of Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft launches separate Xbox Music app. Windows Phone 8 devices already have built-in Xbox Music app. But today, Microsoft launches a standalone Xbox Music app for its Windows Phone users. And this separate Xbox Music app includes new features like editable playlists, radio stations sync.

These features are not available in the built-in Windows Phone 8 app. But this standalone Music app is launched as a preview today. Microsoft says that a complete version will come in 2014 with more new features.

Microsoft has just launched its Xbox Video app as well for the Windows Phone 8 devices. The Xbox Video app is originally built-in in Windows Phone 7 and Microsoft did not provide full access of the app for Windows phone 8 users.

However, the company has launched today a new Xbox Video app for Windows Phone 8 users with complete access. They can now download this new Xbox Video app from the Windows Phone Store and can purchase or stream content through Xbox Video on their Windows Phone devices. And the users can also download movies and TV shows into their handset to watch later without any internet connection.
