Marvel Studios yesterday confirmed that Paul Rudd will play the role of Ant-Man. Marvel's comic book adventure based movie Ant-Man will hit theaters on July 31, 2015.
Marvel Studios casts famous comedic actor Paul Rudd to play the title role of Ant Man. Paul Rudd was in talks with Marvel Studios for quite some time for playing the role in its upcoming comic book adventure movie Ant-Man. However, Marvel Studio has confirmed yesterday that Paul Rudd will play Ant-Man.
Ant-Man is a British-American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics comic book adventure. Edgar Wright is set to direct the Ant-Man movie while screenplay is also written by himself and Joe Cornish. However, the film's plot is still unwrapped. This film will be produced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige with Nira Park. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures will distribute Ant-Man.
Paul Rudd was always be the first choice of Marvel Studios for the role of Ant-Man. As the Marvel thinks that Paul can bring "a diverse background to the role. Rudd has now become one of the industry’s most known actors with a reputation for smart, funny and creative performances. The current Rudd starer movie is Anchor Man 2: The Legend Continues. Rudd is also known for his work in Anchorman; This Is 40; I Love You, Man; Role Models; Forgetting Sarah Marshall; Our Idiot Brother; Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Rudd also works in many other films, television shows and prime time animation.
"When Edgar Wright came to us with the idea of Paul Rudd, we felt a huge sense of relief because the first step in creating any Marvel Studios film is finding the right star," said Marvel's Kevin Feige. "We knew early on that we had found the right person in Paul. When he not only agreed to do it but became as enthusiastic as any actor we'd ever met with about doing the work, we knew we'd found the right guy. We couldn't be more excited for our audiences to see what he's going to do to bring Ant-Man to life."
Ant-Man shooting is scheduled to start in mid-2014. Ant-Man movie will hit theaters on July 31, 2015.
