A Craigslist job listing posted earlier this week (since flagged for removal) looked to hire one man to attend Harvard in place of the job poster for $40,000 a year, with a $10,000 bonus after graduation.

The gig, which starts in August next summer, requires the hire to attend all classes, pass all tests, finish all assigned work — and pretend he is someone else.
The only qualifications are to be male, since the employer has a male name, to have a 4.0 or higher high school GPA or a 3.5 or higher college GPA — and, of course, to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Here is an excerpt of the listing:
You must have either a 4.0 GPA in high school, or a 3.5 or higher GPA from a university to get hired for this.
Your age does not matter, but you must be a male since I have a male name.
I am looking for someone to attend Harvard University pretending to be me for four years, starting August 2014. I will pay for your tuition, books, housing, transportation, and living expenses and pay $40,000 a year with a $10,000 bonus after graduation. All you have to do is attend all classes, pass all tests, and finish all assigned work, while pretending you are me.
You do not need to worry about being accepted, I have already taken care of that.
If interested please email me a little info about yourself, and we can meet in person to discuss further.
Whoever applies should consider these salary negotiating tips. After all, even if living expenses are covered, this is much more than a 40-hour-a-week job, and it’s not the kind of thing you can put on your resume. In fact, if this comes to fruition, it would be the first time that attending Harvard would be, career-wise, a dead end.
