Microsoft is giving a big gift to its Windows Phone users this holiday. Microsoft is now gifting its Windows Phone users an additional 20GB of free SkyDrive storage for one year.

Microsoft offers a big holiday gift to its Windows Phone users. If you are a lucky Windows Phone owner, check your email right now. As Microsoft has rolled out email notifications to all of its registered Windows Phone users that invite them to get an extra 20 GB of free Microsoft SkyDrive storage for one year.

It is a really good holiday cheer for all the Windows Phone users. As Microsoft's Windows Phone users currently have only 7 GB of free SkyDrive storage. But after activating the 20GB bonus, free SkyDrive storage available for Windows Phone users will become a total of 27 GB. And Windows Phone users can activate this free 20 GB cloud storage by 31 January, 2014.

SkyDrive is a personal online storage of Windows Phone that comes built-in the device. "SkyDrive has grown increasingly important for Microsoft," according to The Verge, after the launch of Windows 8.1. And 200 GB of SkyDrive storage for 2 years is already given by the tech giant with every purchase of Surface 2 or Surface Pro 2 tablets. And now a free SkyDrive storage for Windows Phone users is also given for one year. Microsoft is doing all this to encourage more and more people to use its products.
