Nokia Here Maps Pulled form App Store due to iOS 7 user experience woes

Nokia has announced that it has pulled its Here Maps application from the Apple App Store. The reason Nokia pulled the app off the store was due to changes to iOS 7 that harm the user experience. Here Maps was one of the apps that surfaced when Apple Maps were taking fire for sucking badly.

Nokia didn’t say exactly what about iOS 7 harmed the user experience. iOS 7 fans of the Here Maps app will still be able to access the maps free of charge. You will have to do it via a browser though. I would assume accessing the maps via your browser will take time from your data allotment.

Nokia told Engadget, "We have made the decision to remove our HERE Maps app from the Apple App Store because recent changes to iOS 7 harm the user experience. iPhone users can continue to use the mobile web version of HERE Maps under m.here.com, offering them location needs, such as search, routing, orientation, transit information and more, all completely free of charge."
