LG to show off lien of curved OLED 4K TVs

We have talked a lot about an LG smart TV running webOS that is expected to be shown off at CES 2014. LG will also have a number of other TVs on display at the show. The TVs on display at the show will include several OLED models. Among the sets on display will be the largest OLED 4K resolution curved TV on the market with a screen 77-inches in size.

LG will also be showing off smaller 55-inch and 65-inch curved OLED 4K resolution TVs. Exactly how much these TVs will cost is unknown, but you can bet with OLED screens and 4K resolution they will be very expensive.

“All of the exceptional OLED models we’re showcasing at CES 2014 offer the ultimate in picture quality and refined, modern aesthetics,” said In-kyu Lee, Senior Vice President and head of the TV Division at LG Electronics’ Home Entertainment Company. “Driving the evolution of television into the next generation, LG will continue to employ its technological and design expertise to bring impressive OLED TVs to market.”

All of the TVs will have native resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a curved screen. The curve in the screen is supposed to help the TVs have better brightness. The big 77-inch model will have the LG Tru-Ultra HD Engine Pro to upscale content to 4K. The other TVs lack that feature.
