The latest news from Mother Nature is definitely not good news. Winter storm Hercules has hit the Northeast regions spanning the length of the USA. And it seems to have affected the weather from Georgia to Canada with full force.

The thing is not that it is a purely destructive force of Nature. Winter storm Hercules is just like any other calamity but the freezing temperatures that it will lead to are what people fear most. And according to meteorologists, such extremes of cold have seldom been seen since the winter of 2009.

It is a remarkable winter storm and will take its toll on the climate of America. Boston and Long Island are about to face the onslaught of heavy blizzards and so warnings have been posted by the weather experts. Wind, snow and temperatures of -10 degrees below zero are expected.

The natural disaster will give the nation a tough time alright. Extremely cold conditions may lead to danger for those who venture outside the warmth of their homes. Tons of snowfall led to driveways and roads being shut off to traffic and the passage of people. Many airlines were grounded thanks to the hurricane. And it will have a major impact on about two dozen states.

The United States bears the brunt of 10 to 11 blizzards on an annual basis. As for the low visibility conditions that appear after a blizzard hits the atmosphere, they make driving a health hazard. Citizens will have to remain indoors to avoid the harsh and inclement weather conditions.
