Kristen Bell and Rob Thomas began something that would go far beyond their wildest expectations. The movie Veronica Mars was supposed to bring in $2 million. But in actuality it raised more than $6 million on Kickstarter. Meanwhile, the people who missed the previous seasons of the movie may have to do an awful lot of viewing.
Whatever the case, the campaign on Kickstarter now has a new trailer of the Veronica Mars series. And it is something that will get seen by fans and non-fans alike. The response is favorable already. And the latest trailer shows among other things Jamie Lee Curtis grilling Veronica Mars in a job interview.
Besides the rough treatment for a career’s sake, Veronica’s private investigator dad is shown as a great supporter and ally of her daughter although like most fathers he is overly protective of her. Especially when it comes to the males in her life, he wants her to find a stable partner and have kids.
Veronica’s choice is a bit weird though. She goes for the wrong types of men. Weak personalities are her weakness. Her love story is typical in that it involves being attracted to troublesome fellows. On the whole, Veronica Mars faces many situations from which she manages to emerge unscathed. Finally, a high school reunion has the lady dance with the actual husband of Kristen Bell. All is well that ends well.
