Aura promises to help you sleep better using lights and sound
Withings has been making some odd and interesting health related gadgets for a while. The company has rolled out a new product at CES 2014 called the Withings Aura. The Aura is said to be the first active smart sleep system. The thin pad you see goes under the mattress and claims to be able to record data about your sleep.
The sensor can pick up your body movements, breathing cycles, and heart rate. The device at the bedside can record info on noise pollution, room temp, and light levels. The bedside device also has multicolor LEDs inside.
Those LEDs are used to create light to help you fall asleep and light to help you wake. The device also has sound to help you wake and fall asleep. The device interfaces with a smartphone app to collect the data. It will ship this spring for $299.
