Each year there are some gadgets that surface at CES that are just plain weird. CES 2014 is certainly no exception and one of the strange gadgets that have surfaced so far is an internet-connected toothbrush. The company behind the toothbrush says that we need to brush smarter, not stronger.
The toothbrush has a sensor that detects how much tartar is being removed while brushing reports Yahoo News. It also records the brushing activity to help the users maintain a consistent cleaning each time. The company says that with a normal toothbrush you never really know that you have cleaned your teeth.
The app will tell the user if they have missed hard to clean areas or aren't brushing well enough. The toothbrush will be available to order via Kickstarter with pricing ranging from $99 to $200 depending on the model chosen later this year.
