2014 People’s Choice Awards Announced

The 2014 People’s Choice Awards had a star attraction in the form of Jennifer Hudson. While she did not grab a People’s Choice Award, her speech had a conscience-rousing effect on the audience. And it was for this moral support that she was given a humanitarian award instead. She shared it with her sister, Julia Hudson.

Julia’s son was killed in cold blood about half a decade ago. It is in his name that that a humanitarian organization is run by the sisters. Entertainment and education go hand in hand, according to Jennifer Hudson. She is definitely inspired by the stars that light up the silver screen. And with the Oscars and Grammies on the horizon, award season is in full swing. 

With over 60 categories, the People’s Choice Awards go to the stars, musicians and other luminaries who have gained distinction to excel in their respective fields. Britney Spears was voted the topmost pop starlet. Ellen DeGeneres meanwhile was the morning TV host that proved to be an all-time favorite. 

The illustrious Sandra Bullock won in three categories of 2014 People’s Choice Awards. She is definitely the best. As for the musician with the best album, Justin Timberlake won the spot hands down. Others such as Adam Sandler and Leonardo Dicaprio also bagged the best male actor categories. It was a star-studded night where the cream of the crop gathered to celebrate life and the people who make it meaningful via their extraordinary achievements.
