The controversial Westboro Baptist Church is on the loose again. The church, known for its extreme ideologies, is planning to conduct protests outside four churches in Glendale city Sunday morning, the group announced on its website.
Protests were to be held outside the churches of the Salem Lutheran Church and School, the First United Methodist Church of Glendale, the Glendale Presbyterian Church, and the Holy Family Catholic Community. Members of the group were said to be upset by many issues, including same-sex marriage and so called "phony christians."
The announcement isn't a surprise. The hate group, led by Fred Phelps, has been involved in anti-gay protests since 1991. The Baptist World Alliance and the Southern Baptist Convention have denounced the WBC. The group was also considering to hold protests outside the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday evening.
