While he left the last series he was acting in, Chevy Chase is about to make a reappearance in a new venue. Chase and Beverly D’Angelo are to get together again and play the role of husband and wife in an ABC program.

Chevy Chase has still got some of the drive in him despite having reached old age. He is slated to star in a series with Beverly D’Angelo. The two will play the role of husband and wife. They will be grandparents well into their olden days who out of sheer necessity have to take care of their grandchildren. Thus their age of comfortable retirement is shockingly annulled by the extra task of being caretakers.

As an old time comedian, Chevy Chase is a legend alright. Yet he was quite frustrated in the last series he acted in. Chase even got a little physical on set and finally stormed out in a bad mood. His co-star Joel McHale spoke of how he simply didn’t want to be there at all.

It is hoped that this time around things won’t come to fisticuffs. Chevy Chase is in fact looking forward to showing off his acting chops in what is Aaron Kaplan’s idea. The basic theme is two grandparents who are above 60 and happy in their empty nest status. Their daughter lives far away from them.

Then suddenly fate takes a turn and these otherwise selfishly smug grandparents are stuck with their grandchildren. To take care of little kids when you and your wife are in your final years takes a lot of responsibility. Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo are willing to interact on set for the series which won’t air until the year 2015.
