Oscar Nominations 2014 for Best Picture

The 86th Oscar nominations for 2014 were announced last night. The Oscars will go live on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 7pm ET/ 4pm PT. And as they come your way, the stars and starlets that make magical stuff happen on the movie screen are in gear to entertain the audiences. The Academy Awards will prove to be a passionate time for various artists who will get to show their stuff and collect their accolades.

Oscar Nominations 2014 for Best Picture

The Oscars are to proceed as per plan. Some of the movies that are the top brass at the heart-stopping show include: “Gravity”, “American Hustle” and “12 Years a Slave”. This triumphant trio is to be the main set of contenders at the awards ceremony. Everything virtually revolves around them. 

The conditions at the Oscars this season will be one of neck to neck competition. The hall is to be filled to the brim with thespians. And Hollywood is the dream factory behind all the hoopla. The wide range of topics upon which the movies are based provides something for everyone

Gravity and American Hustle snatched 10 nominations. And 12 Years a Slave grabbed 9. This was way more than the rest of the reel life examples. Some of the other nominees include Captain Phillips which is about African pirates and Dallas Buyers Club which deals with the HIV virus and the devastation it unleashes upon people. Her, Nebraska and Philomena were somewhere in the bunch of top contenders.
