The Lt. Governor of New Jersey, Kim Guadagno has outright rejected allegations made against her by Hoboken Mayor, Dawn Zimmer. The Hoboken head honcho has spoken about how Guadagno had blackmailed her regarding Hurricane Sandy aid. She has said that the rehabilitation efforts were tied up to her support of a project by Christie.
The cat is out of the bag. Mayor Dawn Zimmer has just spilled the beans regarding Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno’s warning to her that if she didn’t support a redevelopment project, her town would get no funds for Hurricane Sandy reconstruction purposes. Kim Guadagno has categorically denied these claims. She says that they are absolutely false.

In fact, she confesses that she is shocked by the claims made by Dawn Zimmer. Kim furthermore said that she thought Zimmer was on friendly terms with her. But Zimmer is all set to wash her dirty linen in public. She has gone so far as to condemn Chris Christie, since Kim had relayed the ultimatum message from him.
"I don't think it was retaliation and I don't have any reason to think it's retaliation, but I'm not satisfied with the amount of money I've gotten so far," Zimmer told CNN then.
If what Zimmer says is true this could be the scandal of the year. The withholding of funds for so many storm-stricken people, just because of a lousy redevelopment program that was to take place elsewhere, is a crime of sorts. Kim Guadagno confesses this much that the Hoboken Major did press her regarding the funds.
But Guadagno also reiterates that she only said in reply that this was not within her proper jurisdiction. Nowhere was the Rockefeller Group Project mentioned in all this, according to Kim. But Dawn Zimmer remains adamant that she was threatened with slashed emergency funds if she didn’t support the project.
