Raiders Cheerleaders Sue Team

Everybody knows that Cheerleading is a calling and that the girls (and some boys) are not in it for the money. There should be though some reasonable compensation, you would think. The Oakland Raiders cheerleaders have now raised the red flag on their team. According to an report on the San Jose Mercury News, the cheerleaders sue their team for unpaid wages.

The lawsuit reveals that a Raiders cheerleader gets $1,250 per season. This would amount to less than $5 per hour if you count all hours cheerleaders are rehearsing, performing and appear on events. According to the lead plaintiff also said that the cheerleaders have to pay for traveling, hairstyle and makeup.

The lawyer supporting the Raiderettes says that the team owes thens of thousands of dollars in unpaid wages to current and former cheerleaders. Does not sound much. I guess its best for the Raiders to settles this as soon as possible to avoid more PR damage. See some of the hottest Raiders Cheerleader photos in this gallery below.
