Apple on its way to enter the “phablet” category

The past few years had been quite dynamic for Apple with new launches and newer models and it seems that Apple is not yet ready to take a break and sit back. New pair of phones will be coming out this year as it has been confirmed through reports by The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg, both making statements on how Apple is currently working to bring about the duo iPhones which are going to have displays of 4.7” and 5.7”.

This move into the larger screen market segment was surely needed by Apple which is currently surrounded by competitors which are taking over this category with a quick pace. The Wall Street Journal which claims that one of the phones is going to feature a diagonal measurement of somewhere between 4.5 and 5” while the other model is going to go beyond 5” and will also fall into the “phablet” category. Since the plastic body featured on the iPhone 5c has been ruled out by now, the new iPhones will be fashioned out of metal bodies. While many competitors have opted for the curved display look, Apple is still not ready to go that way. The “phablet” category mentioned earlier will create quite a stir among Apple users since they are waiting anxiously for a large screen iPhone.
