Alcatel promises new Firefox OS-based phones for MWC 2014

The brand new upcoming phones, which are going to be unveiled at the upcoming Barcelona-based show between February 24th and the 27th, are likely to follow early Firefox OS efforts from the mother manufacturer Alcatel as well as the ZTE Open device, one of the few handsets to run the new alternative software.

After suggesting that it has already reached its basic phase one Firefox Operating System targets, Alcatel has now revealed that it is currently working closely with the software giant Mozilla Inc. to out another batch of new Firefox phones in the next month.

Mr. Dan Dery, who is the Vice President of the Marketing section of Alcatel, has said that there is going to be a few new devices coming from them that the Firefox OS fans will see announced in Barcelona together with the giant Mozilla Inc. and they want to make this a joint announcement.”

And teasing some further details of the upcoming new Firefox phones, he also added that: at the MWC, the users will see some more products and some more importantly, differentiation of their previous products.

Although the new comer Firefox Operating System has, till date, made a few waves on the smart phone scene, the Alcatel Inc. has claimed that it has already successfully achieved all of the early goals for the brand new platform.
