If you are a fan of the Star Wars franchise you might be looking forward to the next animated series called Star Wars Rebels. That show is getting a new astromech robot called Chopper. The design of chopper is based on early concept art for R2-D2.
"If Artoo is the family dog," said Dave Filoni, executive producer of the show, "Chopper is the cat."
Chopper is a crew member aboard the starship in the series called Ghost. Chopper's official designation is C1-10P. The events that take place in the Star Wars Rebels series are set four years before Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
The old school looks of Chopper are a throwback to the original droids n the series. The show will premiere in the fall of 2014 as a one-hour special on Disney Channel. It will then be a normal series on Disney XD.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
