Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e and ThinkPad 11e Offers with Windows or Chrome OS
Lenovo has rolled out its latest ThinkPad machines that are aimed at the education environment. There are two machines with two different operating systems available. The machines are the ThinkPad Yoga 11e and the ThinkPad 11e. They share many of the same features.
All of the machines have an 11.6-inch LED backlit screen. The Yoga models can be used in notebook, tablet, tent, and stand modes. The Yoga versions also have a touchscreen. The other versions are standard notebook designs.
The versions that run the Chrome OS are Chromebooks, the others run windows. The hardware is customizable and uses Intel processors. There is no specific amount of RAM or storage space noted. The notebooks are offered in black or silver colors.
“We have a proven track record of designing laptops and tablets built to last in education environments. With the new ThinkPad 11e devices, we’re raising the bar with new form factors,” said Jerry Paradise, executive director of product marketing, ThinkPad Product Group, Lenovo. “I’m very excited that Lenovo is able to offer a device that’s not only rugged enough for the classroom but also flexible enough to adapt to the many ways technology can be incorporated into the overall learning experience.”
All of the machines will ship this spring. The Yoga 11e and standard 11e will start at $449. The Chromebook versions will start at $349.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
