The Seattle Seahawks livery has been painted on the side of the Boeing 747-8 Freighter to honor the Seahawks' success this season and a rallying cry for the team as they prepare for the Super Bowl 2014. The picture of a hawk’s head on the aircraft is a source of pride for the company.
The Boeing Company has commemorated the Seattle Seahawks by painting a logo of their livery on the side of their Boeing 747-8 Freighter. There are several reasons for this advertisement of the team and its symbolic value. The fact that they are regular champions and their participation in the Super Bowl XLVIII are just two obvious alibis.

Besides this, Boeing has taken on the role of sponsorship of the team since the past decade or so. The CEO of Boeing has spoken of how the team is a very inspirational symbol for them. The logo on the side of the aircraft is a salutation to excellence by Boeing.

"We're honored that we could join together two Northwest icons, the Seahawks and the 747, for this special salute from the entire Boeing team."
January 30th was the date set for the maiden voyage of the Boeing 747-8 Freighter. That was when the hawk flew. It formed a “12” pattern as it flew in the sky. As a tribute to the team, it is the best way the aircraft manufacturing company has given a token of its gratitude. There are also some connections between the aircraft and the Seattle Seahawks that no one knew about.
For one, the fuselage has the same length as the longest pass made by their quarterback Russell Wilson. Then the receiver of the team can run the full length of the deck within seven seconds. And finally, a Boeing 747-8 Freighter can cover the span of a stadium within a second’s time frame at takeoff.
