In an official message tweeted on late Monday, an HTC executive had said that the AT&T Inc. has approved the latest version of Android, the Android v.4.4 KitKat, for the HTC One device and it aims to launch the over-the-air update on Wednesday.
And when it was asked by a CNET reporter to confirm the update, an AT&T spokeswoman had simply said "No comment about this matter."
The Android v.4.4.2 KitKat already is available on the unlocked version to the whole world, which is the Developer Edition, and the Google Edition of the HTC One, leaving the other owners out in the cold until now. Last Monday, the HTC Inc.'s Software Updates page had showed its flagship phone as being certified by all of the four major US carriers -- The AT&T, The Sprint, The T-Mobile, and The Verizon Wireless.
The update has reportedly started rolling out for the European users of the international version of the HTC One, which is according to an article from an online blog, the AndroidCentral.
