Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful special aired on NBC last night. The sexy show special brought back the hottest models from the 50 year history of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. As part of the show the best Swimsuit cover of all time has been unveiled. Kathy Ireland's 1989 cover is the best cover ever. Not just because of the cover itself but also to honor the exceptional carrier of Kathy Ireland. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful was a two-hour TV special celebrating the 50th anniversary of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition has become an annual fixture in American pop culture.
Former swimsuit cover model and "Project Runway" star Heidi Klum will host the show, which features appearances from fellow swimsuit icons Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley, Kathy Ireland, Marisa Miller, Kate Upton and more of the most celebrated models in the franchise's history. Musical guests performing on the show include Grammy Award-winning, chart-topping artists Enrique Iglesias, Lady Antebellum, the Fray, John Legend and Tim McGraw.
