Google’s mystery barge now faces certain regulation barriers from the authorities. The big boat, meant for multiple future purposes, will not be allowed to hang around the confines of the San Francisco Bay Area. Google execs are currently perusing the conditions laid out before them by those in charge.
Google faces yet another obstacle in translating its dreams into reality. The mysterious barge that had been floating around the San Francisco Bay Area will not be allowed free sway. This comes straight from the legal fiat of the authorities who are responsible for the body of water.
It seems like the vessel will have to find a better place than its current haunt. Those on top have ordered Google to take its tugboat somewhere else since it doesn’t fulfill the criteria for being in its present place. Permits are a basic requirement for ships and boats. And Google’s barge doesn’t have one.
Wherever Google shifts its dream boat, it must meet certain standards of design and function. Google’s moon-shot appears to have failed for now at least. The plans were to build a futuristic showroom, demo hall and party space on the barge.
But the objectives have not been met due to the hindrances posed by the officials in charge of the Bay Area. According to the most recent news, the huge structure was just lying there in a vegetative state. Google is in somewhat of a fix. It will have to find another way to meet its desired goals.
In a statement to CNet, Google said, "We just received the letter from the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission and we are reviewing it."
