Titanfall will also require 64-bit Windows 7 or higher to play on PC
IGN reports that a tweet from Respawn head Vince Zampella has been posted that gives some bad news for Titanfall fans on the PC. The game is still coming to the PC, but it will require gamers to install EA Origin to play. Other games that EA has published recently don’t have this requirement.

Since the game is expected to be one of the biggest PC titles of the year, EA is obviously taking the opportunity to expand the install base for its digital software and game store. Zampella also said that the beta that will kick off before the game launches would also require Origin.
The announcement that Origin would be required for Titanfall came in response to a tweet from a gamer called John Connorski. He tweeted at Zampella asking, "Most important requirement to me, does it require Origin? If it does, it's a lost sale from me. Steam is the answer."
Zampella replied writing, "@Klink77 yes it does, we'll miss you :("
Perhaps even more annoying than having to have Origin on your machine is that Titanfall will require a 64-bit Windows OS of Windows 7 or higher. That means any gamer still plugging away with a rig running XP or Vista will have to upgrade.
