Dwayne Johnson started out as a pro wrestler with the WWE better known as The Rock. He turned that wrestling career into a movie career and is now one of the biggest actors in Hollywood. The actor recently tweeted something that has led to some rumors that he may be making a Marvell film.

Specifically, rumors suggest that The Rock will be playing John Stewart, otherwise known as the Green Lantern in the Batman vs Superman film reports Yahoo News. The Rock posted something on Instagram about a friend that read:

"Known this beast since he was 15. I was on the football field playing for Miami, he was leading the Hurricanes marching band as Drum Major. He spent years of working on my WWE story lines & Rock monologues.

"Then years of being on every movie set with me learning the film business from top to bottom. Today, he's one of the best and most sought after producers in Hollywood. Brilliant, relentless and one big mother****r! Proud of you brother & thank you for all the hard work. #ProducerHiram #TeamRock #JohnStewartCanStillWhupSupermansAss"

IGN then tweeted a question wondering if The Rock had confirmed he was playing Green Lantern. Johnson then tweeted a reply that said:

"All I said was.. #LanternCanWhupSuperman RT: @IGN: Did @TheRock reveal that he's playing John Stewart/Green Lantern? http://go.ign.com/1b0qHO6"

The Rock would make a good superhero, he is certainly built for it. He also has his own Dwayne Johnson/The Rock alternate ego going.
