On his official blog, The Mozilla's Firefox project head, Mr. Asa Dotzler has recently published some photos and some technical specs of the first tablet running the newbie Firefox Operating System, from the house of Mozilla.
The mobile OS, which has already powered multiple smart phone models sold in the emerging markets, is now being presented as a viable low-cost alternative to the Android or iOS platforms for the future tablets.

At the Computex in June 2013, the tech giant Mozilla Inc. and the Taiwanese company Foxconn had announced their joint plans to produce a tablet powered by the Firefox OS. This initial attempt to the new era of Firefox OS had dubbed the InFocus New tab F1, which remains relatively basic, with a stunning 10.1-inch screen (with 1200x800 pixels), powerful 1GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor, a 2GB RAM and also, a 16GB hard drive. The tablet has got dual cameras of 5MP and 2MP, and it is also Bluetooth and WiFi-compatible.

For the time being, the InFocus New tab F1 is going to be marketed to the developers, before serving it as a blueprint for the development of their future models, which will also be marketed primarily in the emerging markets.
