MyDrivers, a Chinese website, has leaked an image of the HTC Desire 8 which just might be the first official picture of the phone on the internet. Not to forget that the phone still hasn’t been announced officially. We can put a finger on some of the specs which have hinted towards the device being part of the upper mid range.
The specs are still merely rumors and the resolution of the phone is still a mystery though the display is said to be of 5.5". This display is so far the largest one which has ever been featured on a non flagship HTC. The back of the phone has been fashioned out of a plastic body and it houses the 13MP snapper with LED flash. There is a 5MP front camera which can take care of the video chatting and self photography needs.
The Desire 8 is going to be available quite a colorful range featuring red, yellow, orange, cyan and white. Along with the dual front speaker setup, the phone features dual-SIM functionality as well. The leaked shot provides fewer details on the hardware specs but we can figure out one thing that there will not be any hardware capacitive buttons. Similar to what HTC is going to have on the M8, the HTC One successor, this one is also going to have on screen navigation buttons. For more details we will have to wait till the phone is officially launched in Beijing on March 18 but there are speculations going around that the phone might just end up in Barcelona by the end of this month.
