Nexus 7 hits Verizon supporting 4G LTE

If you are in the market for new tablet that supports LTE connectivity to get you online on the go, Verizon has a new offering that landed today. The tablet is the Google Nexus 7 and it has a surprisingly low price. The tablet can be had on a 2-year contract for $249.99.

If you don’t want to be tied to a monthly data rate for two years, you can pay $349.99 and get the tablet with a month to month data plan. The extra $100 for no contract makes a lot of sense considering you could spend the extra $100 in data charges in a few months.

The tablet has HD resolution 7-inch screen that has 323ppi. The tablet has a battery good for up to nine hours of video playback per charge. That will get you though a long flight or car trip easily. The tablet also runs the latest version of Android with 4.4 KitKat under the hood.

The Nexus 7 uses a 1.5GHz quad core processor with 2GB of RAM. It has integrated WiFi and connects to the Verizon 4G LTE network. The native resolution of the 7-inch screen is 1920 x 1200. The rear camera is a 5MP unit with autofocus and the front camera is a 1.2MP fixed focus unit. The tablet has 16GB of storage. Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC technology are also integrated. The tablet measures 114 x 200 x 8.65mm and weighs 0.64 pound.
