ZDNet, a Korean publication which somehow managed to contact the officials at LG are claiming that the G Pro 2 is going to make its way into the South Korean market by the end of this month. So far we only have information about the phablet’s release in South Korea. This is because the demand for this device needs to be monitored for a while and based on the demand further plans for global releases will be unveiled.
The reason why the G Pro 2 is being launched first in South Korea is because LG has been following its marketing study which states that Asia has the largest demand for phablets and the consumers usually prefer having devices of 5.5 inches or more. Following this lead in USA with a large demand for handsets which are 5.2 inches in size and the European customers on the other hand generally prefer phones which are of 5 inches.
After the release in South Korea, the phablet will spread across other Asian countries in a while and then next in line for release will be USA (April) and then European countries (May). With the G Pro 2, LG is following the same strategy which it did with the LG G Pro and that one had also taken its time before hitting the key markets around the world.
