while iPhone 5s and HTC One Max use fingerprint scanner, LG takes a step ahead with its IRIS technology

We are quite excited about the new LG IRIS technology which is going to be part of upcoming LG phones and looks like LG is ready to unveil some secrets at the G Pro 2 unveiling event. We are pretty much expecting the new LG G3 flagship to be released alongside a form of biometric scanner which will be used for user authentication.

The fingerprint scanner has already fallen under the category of ‘been there, done that’ and LG is surely looking forward to something more exciting with the possibility of having LG iris scanning technology instead of the prevailing fingerprint scanner which has so far been featured on the iPhone 5s, HTC One Max and most probably the Galaxy S5. There are rumors that Samsung will also seek after this IRIS scanning technology which is rumored to be featured on the next Samsung flagship.

During the launch of the LG G Pro 2 in South Korea, an executive confirmed that LG is going to consider the eye-recognition and the fingerprint scanning technology for their next flagship device which is expected to release this year.
