Bruno Mars has music in his genes. That is for sure. But whether he will fare just as well in the show business world that is acting is a moot point. But he’ll never know if he never tries. So Bruno is about to make the plunge. He is to act in the sequel to the blue macaw movie which will be known as Rio 2.
Rio was about Blu, an introverted and shy tropical macaw that can do everything except fly. Jewel is the female costar of this autistic avian that finally encourages him to overcome his fear of soaring into the azure blue skies.
The director of Rio 2, Carlos Saldanha wants to give Bruno a chance to show his vocal talent on screen in the animated movie. Bruno has already acted a bit as a child star. This is his second time at it and he is pretty confident.
Right now though Bruno Mars has far more important things to do such as promote his album Unorthodox Jukebox. And another issue he is facing, and which he would like to remedy, is scalping.
Recently his Hawaiian tour had only 6% of the people who bought the tickets show up. The rest of the tickets got picked up by black market scalpers who will sell them for later shows at astronomical prices. A law is being enacted to counter this tendency. And Bruno will have been part of the reason behind this legislative effort.
