Developers capitalizing on the ‘Flappy’ fame are being rejected by Apple and Google
The Flappy Bird has been the most famous and talked of game of all time and even after being removed from app stores by the developer it is still the topic of many discussions. After the removal of the original Flappy Bird, many people tried to capitalize on the fame of the Flappy name and now there are tons of such games on the App Store and the Play Store.
This trend had become quite noticeable and now Apple and Google are trying to cut down the number of Flappy games and they are no longer accepting such games from the developers. The developers are obviously not so happy because their games are being turned down for they are attempting to get leveraged from the fame of the word “Flappy”. Google hasn’t been able to give any specific reason for doing this but Apple has claimed that it is doing so in order to protect customers from downloading something which is mimicking to be something else. This was a much needed step because someone had to put a foot down to this growing trend of having developers come up with games which resembled popular ones.
