Samsung Trashes iPad Air in New Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 Commercial
The first Apple iPad Air commercial showed a pencil where an iPad Air was hiding behind. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 commercial starts the same way, but then the story continues. Behind the iPad Air a new Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 tablet is hiding as it is thinner than the iPad Air.
Samsung is really stretching it bit though with the thinner claim. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 measures 0.287" (7.2mm)and the iPad Air is 0.29" (7.5mm) - we talk here 0.2mm difference. You cannot really see the difference.
Anyway. The next claim is the multi-tasking functionality with being able to run two apps at the same time on the screen. This is indeed nice to have. Samsung also makes claims in the ad that the screen of the Tab Pro 10.1 is better than the iPad Air screen. The resolution is indeed higher and the Samsung tablet has 299ppi and the iPad Air reaches 264ppi.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
