Three skaters left to compete
The Olympic games in Sochi are in full swing with many events already over and several still to go. One of the most popular events at the winter games is figure skating. The US two time champion Ashley Wagner currently sits in fifth place in the women's short program with three people left to compete reports The Washington Post.

Wagner was docked points for under rotating one of her tricks in the beginning of her routine. She was given full credit for the triple flip. Where she was docked came on the triple toe that followed those flips.
The routine was performed to the Pink Floyd track "Shine n You Crazy Diamond." Wagner has struggled with the triple triple all season according to reports. The triple triple is something that is believed to be a requirement if she wants to win a medal at the Olympics this year.
The leader now in the women's short program is Kim Yu-na followed by Russian skater Adelina Sotnikova. Third place in the standings right now is Italian Carolina Kostner. The top US skater is Gracie gold in fourth place, with fifth place going to Julia Lipnitskaia, who fell during one of her jumps. The event isn’t over yet, but it is looking unlikely for Wagner to medal right now.
