Will Smith’s dearly beloved wife doesn’t mind a few extra pounds around her midriff. Jada Pinkett Smith is comfortable in her skin and doesn’t need lectures on diet and exercise.

Jada Pinkett Smith recently posed for a picture with hubby Will Smith and daughter Willow Smith. While Will and teenage daughter Willow are looking quite the epitome of buff, Jada appears to have put on eight to ten pounds of mass.

But the famous actress is quite at ease with her weight gain. Having reached her early forties, the actress seems at peace with her body. Wearing a skintight leather ensemble, Jada posed for the camera. In fact, she plans to keep these few extra pounds forever. No need of boring bland diets or the painful torture of exercise.

Why not relax and kick back those shoes and enjoy life for a change. Jada said that she wanted to have a slightly fuller Marilyn Monroe-like figure rather than opting for the rail thin stick figure so common among models today. Everybody has a right to be comfortable in their own skin.

Now, that is the spirit we all should show in matters of body image. Jada clearly is unconcerned about a small amount of pounds that she seems to have piled on top of that petite figure.

She considers the person inside the body to be more important than the outer image which is just an illusion of sorts. So what if a person weighs a little more than the standard weight for his age and height. It is the thoughtfulness and content of his or her character that counts in the end.

Jada Pinkett Smith did say that she was a bit concerned over whether she will be able to fit in a dress for the Oscars. But that is absolutely normal. All of us tend to obsess sometimes over whether we will fit our newly bought jeans or not. It is the eating disorders and unhealthy neurotic behavior that is to be avoided.
