The restaurant chain known as Chipotle recently declared that the tons of avocados it ships in from California are not being produced in the required quantities. The scarcity is due to the recent drought in the sunshine state.

That is why Chipotle has issued a statement to several parties that invest in it on a regular basis. The message is loud and clear. If weather conditions such as global warming continue at the present rate, some of the food items may be so costly that they won’t be bought by the food chain.
This is bad news for the food addicts that especially love the guacamole that is mass-produced by the restaurant. Some of the stuff that may get wiped off the menu options includes: chicken, dairy and of course avocados.
There are other reasons why Chipotle has made its point very clear. It is a conscientious company that believes in organic food and a sustainable environment. The trend of global warming is picking up speed due to the greenhouse effect. And as things go from bad to worse, the food supply is the first thing to suffer.
Chipotle doesn’t want to serve its loyal customers substandard ingredients. It wants the healthiest and top quality comestibles for its worthy clientele. And the fact is that the people who frequent the restaurant chain can’t get enough of the scrumptious food available.
A spokesperson for Chipotle said that although the sky wasn’t falling, it was the duty of the restaurant’s top brass to inform the public regarding any future shortages. Beef was another product that was in short supply.
Let’s hope that stricter environmental policies will reverse or at least stop global warming in America. That way food production will not be stymied.
