The world's oldest woman celebrated her 116 birthday yesterday with a nice cake.

Japanese Misao Okawa is the world's oldest living person according to the Guinness World Records. She turned 116 yesterday and is fit enough to eat her birthday cake herself.

Misao Okawa was born on March 5th, 1898 in Tenma, Osaka. Her simple secret to live long is eating and sleeping. She eats lots of Sushi and her favorite meal is mackerel on vinegar-steamed rice according to The Telegraph. Apparently good genes help too as two of her kids are aged at 94 and 92.

Jeralean Talley is the oldest American aged at 114. There is no male under the ten oldest living people. According to Wikipedia the oldest living male is Arturo Licata, age 111 in Italy.
