Nexus 6 to be released along with Google's first smartwatch

The Nexus smartphone and tablet range by Google has always been a huge hit and we are all aware of it. Since the last Nexus 5 turned out to be a huge success, we are already hearing rumors about its successor coming to play soon enough. The Nexus 6 is going to be manufactured by Korean outfit LG most likely and it will be revealed this year along with the first smartwatch by Google (according to a report by Gizmodo).

As far as the wearable technology is concerned, Google has made itself a huger player with the Project Glass which has gathered a lot of atention ahead of its projected release later this year. According to the report, at the time of the MWC in Barcelon last week, LG was behind the Nexus 6 like many would have speculated and talking of the form factor, it will be a less weighty rendition of the LG G3 which still has to be released. This is not such a surprising revelation considering how the Nexus 5 was a stripped down version of the basic Galaxy S2.

Google's first smartwatch has been making rounds on the internet lately and LG is yet again the manufcturing partner. No further information has been revealed on this wearable so we will just have to wait for more information to come through.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
