With sales of 5c not even getting closer to the 5s, it clearly shows the version wasnt much of a hot seller since the beginning

The stockpile of Apple's 5c has now reached over 3 million units which is enough to show that this version was certainly not a hot seller. Pegatron, the manufacturer of this 5c, has 2 million units of the phone while the others remain in retail stores waiting to be taken away by someone. There is no doubt about the fact that Apple had a record breaking quarter but even this didnt help the 5c; its sales couldnt even reach closer to the sales of the 5s.

Many are of the view that the 5c had been priced in such a way which pushed customers towards the 5s. They were getting only a $100 of savings by getting this phone with less than stellar tech specs and a far inferior body. It was quite obvious that people would be attracted towards the 5s more. The future looks bleak for the Apple 5c since Apple is going to be having quite an eventful year ahead with so many announcements to make and loads coming their way. We are already hearing the rumors about the larger screen size on the upcoming iPhone 6 and then there is the rumored 5.5” Apple phablet and surely among all of this, we cant expect the 5c to do any better in the market.
