IRS.gov has developed a free smartphone app called IRS2Go. An updated version of this app is now available for both iOS and Android devices.
IRS.gov is using many social media tools to share public information with its users. The IRS.gov offers its users to share the latest information on tax changes, initiatives, products and services via various social media tools. These SM tools include YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and more.
However, IRS.gov informed its users to not to post their social security number or other confidential information on these social media sites. As at the IRS, privacy and security are paramount. So ths users should always protect their identity when using any social networking site. And IRS also clears that it will not answer any personal tax or account questions on any of these sites.
Above all of these social media tools is the free smartphone app of IRS.gov that will allow to get all tax information anyplace anywhere. And I think IRS2Go free smartphone app is the most effective tool to get your required information even on the go.
Basically IRS2Go is an IRS-developed app designed to help taxpayers in several ways. The app lets taxpayers check on the status of their refund, sign up for helpful tax tips or get the most recent IRS Twitter feeds.
An updated version of the IRS.gov free smartphone app is now available. IRS2Go version 4.01 is now available to download for both iOS and Android users via iTunes App Store and Google Play Store. This updated version has usual bug fixes and enhancements including updated error reporting and clearer language.
But this latest version of IRS2Go also includes a new refund status tracker to follow the whole IRS tax returns and check status of your tax refund. But you need to check the status after a month of mailing your return paper. And if IRS confirms receipt of an e-filed return, you can check tax refund status after a day.
Free tax preparation providers are also there in this app. There is a new tool added in updated IRS2Go app that will help you find a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) location. You can get free tax help through the IRS VITA or Tax Counseling for the Elderly programs.
You can also get a copy of your tax records using IRS2Go. You can request your tax bill info or your tax return transcript via the app and post office will deliver your required info on your address on record.
