However, IRS.gov informed its users to not to post their social security number or other confidential information on these social media sites. As at the IRS, privacy and security are paramount. So ths users should always protect their identity when using any social networking site. And IRS also clears that it will not answer any personal tax or account questions on any of these sites.
Above all of these social media tools is the free smartphone app of IRS.gov that will allow to get all tax information anyplace anywhere. And I think IRS2Go free smartphone app is the most effective tool to get your required information even on the go.

This updated version has usual bug fixes and enhancements including updated error reporting and clearer language.
But this latest version of IRS2Go also includes a new refund status tracker to follow the whole IRS tax returns and check status of your tax refund. Free tax preparation providers are also there in this app. There is a new tool added in updated IRS2Go app that will help you find a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) location. You can get free tax help through the IRS VITA or Tax Counseling for the Elderly programs.
