The charming and beautiful actress Jennifer Connelly spent time making the movie Shelter with her director husband Paul Bettany. While the two are a lovely couple she claims her husband hardly got the time to talk to her on set.
Life, said Sigmund Freud, is a balance of love and work. Something similar and strange happened in the case of actress Jennifer Connelly and her husband Paul Bettany. Her husband was also the director of the movie "Shelter" in which Jennifer was acting.
The two would leave home together for the job. And according to Connelly, while she thought he would pay extra attention to her on the set, in fact he was so busy that he barely managed to sneak in a few words of appreciation.
Jennifer plays a homeless female who finds another homeless male counterpart in the film Shelter. They than manage to eke out an existence on the streets. The shooting took place in New York.
However, despite the lack of communication between Paul and Jennifer, she still said that it was a wonderful experience to have her husband to be the director of the film she played a role in.
Jennifer Connelly claims that she imagined in her mind’s eye that her husband would discuss so many things with her. But the reality was in stark contrast to this fantasy. He had a long queue formed to seek his advice and so Jennifer missed out on some serious interaction with him.
"I had this fantasy that we'd talk about scenes all day," Connelly tells DuJour magazine in its April 2014 issue. "In reality, if the man sat down, there was a line of people wanting to talk to him."
However, there was no bitterness on her part. She and Bettany have been happily together for more than a decade and they have two adorable children. Jennifer met Paul when she acted in the movie “A Beautiful Mind” opposite Russell Crowe.
"We've been married for 11 years," says Connelly. "We have kids together, so I feel confident in our ability to navigate situations."
Connelly has a teenage son from a previous marriage to a photographer. Connelly also received an Oscar for her role in “A Beautiful Mind” where she portrayed the wife of a schizophrenic yet genius mathematician.
