The pre order hype for the Samsung Galaxy S5 has already been circling around Europe and now it is just a matter of a few weeks that the UK citizens will have their go on the pre orders from March 28th onwards. The exact date for the launch is April 11th and many European countries are following the same lead.
No details regarding the price have been received but since the mainland is offering €600-700, it must be kept in mind that the Brits will have to pay somewhere around £500-600 to get the S5 in UK (SIM free). For those who want to get the unlocked version, another £50 will have to be paid in the price. Note that these ae rough estimates based on the mainland pricing and prices quoted earlier than launch dates are usally prone to changes later on. On contract phone will be available as well and the EE, Three and Vodafone have already confirmed their availability.
Looks like the S5 is way more popular than its predecessor because according to Carphone Warehouse, the pre-registrations from people interested in the S5 are 130% more than the pre-registrations which were accounted for the S4.
