The knot there is no untying can sometimes simply be cut with a sword. Such was the case of the strong link between Amy and Matt Roloff. The two lovebirds had been together since the past two and a half decades. But now they had ended their relationship.
It was aired in the media that they would be talking of a trial separation. The two spoke about what came in between them. The issues, problems and obstacles were aplenty. It was a long drawn-out affair that was not only painful but heartrending.
Matt admits that the tension that had been building up between them exploded sometime around Thanksgiving. He shifted to the guest house due to the escalating estrangement.
A bone of contention between the two was the mess Amy made time after time. Matt argued with her to clear the clutter since it got on his nerves. But it was a habit she found hard to let go of. Finally, every hero has his breaking point, and Matt was no exception.
According to Matt, it was a miracle that the two had stayed glued to each other despite the obvious differences. Amy meanwhile says that she and her husband had hardly learnt to tolerate each other over so many years.
Amy Roloff furthermore spoke of how it was not her wish that Matt leave but since it was his decision, he was welcome to it. The two have four children, one girl and three boys, who have reached their late teens and young adulthood.
In a joint statement to Us Weekly on Wednesday, the couple said: "Matt remains living on the farm in our guesthouse, and we work together every day on the farm, on our business endeavors, and most importantly, raising our amazing children."
The two tried, they really did, but it seems some things are just not meant to be. Amy and Matt couldn’t see eye to eye and finally they had to part ways although reluctantly. Now that the bitter choice has been made we can only keep fingers crossed that they may get back together again sometime later.
