In a recent interview with TrustedReviews, Huawei's chief marketing officer Shao Yang has confirmed the company's plan to release a hybrid smartphone in the United States which will boot Android and Windows Phone. This might seem a bit weird that the phone would support two different operating systems and the CMO of the company has not revealed any information on why the company intends to offer such a hybrid phone. There is one reason given by the marketing officer but that might not be satisfactory enough. According to Yang, having a Windows Phone alone on board will not be enough to attract the customers.
The dual OS phone will be released sometime in the second quarter of the year and it will be around the same time when the Windows Phone 8.1 by Microsoft would be coming out. Knowing that Microsoft recently eased up the hardware requirements for Windows Phone to allow other OS to co-exist in same devices, it doesnt come as a surprise that Huawei has made such an announcement.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
