Hoping the removal of this obstacle will bring Google Fibre's development into the town with gigabit internet access
Looks like someone is really looking forward to the Google Fibre. San Antonio wants the Google Fibre and it is not evenr eady to wait for it. Their urgency can be seen by the fact that leases have been approved through the City Council which are for Google's networking nodes despite the absence of official rollout plans.
For Texas, this legal obstacle stays as a bug barrier and if this is removed then the town will represent itself as the perfect candidate for the Google Fibre's next big launch. It wont be a small thing for Google to consider any development project in the town of San Antonio and before any of the decisions regarding Google Fibre can be made, a lot of thinking has to be done. For the residents of the town, it is just too early to be wondering about a gigabit internet access. But for the small town, even just a slight possibility of Google Fibre has become a reason for improvements.
