Nexus 7 gets the first taste of MIUI by Xiaomi

We still havent seen the Xiaomi tablet and it is still under the process of being launched but we have already seen the tablet-friendly MIUI Android ROM which it has recently launched. The new Nexus 7 will be the first of the tablets to get the taste of this new MIUI since an open beta has been available for the 2013 edition of this Nexus 7.

As far as what the company said is concerned, this is not merely a scaled up version of the MIUI V5 because it comes with a brand new architecture with new content. It includes some new native apps, system menus and new screen animations and all of these have been optimized for both the screen orientations. An interesting part of news came in from the CEO Lei Jun who has stated that those tablet vendors who want to ship their tablets preloaded with the MIUI can contact the company. This in no way indicates that no tablets will be made by the company itself and no such intention has been expressed by the CEO so far.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
